This is the most recent major road concession awarded in South Africa. The Project was to design, finance, construct, operate and hand back to the client after thirty years. This Project is a classic example of public – private sector co-operation and participation. Murray & Roberts was a leading sponsor, and remains a shareholder in the concession company and in the company responsible for the operations and maintenance of the route.
