This was the third major road concession contract awarded in South Africa. The Project was to design, finance, construct, operate, maintain and hand back to the client after thirty years. Murray & Roberts was a leading sponsor, and remains a shareholder in the operation of the concession and through its sister company ( Tolcon ), operates the toll collection of the route.
