Murray & Roberts successfully concluded the concession agreement for South Africa's first privately operated prison. This world-class contract accommodates 2,928 maximum-security prisoners in the town of Mangaung, Bloemfontein. The Project was to design, finance, construct, operate and hand back to the client after twenty five years. The prison infrastructure was completed in fifteen months, and has successfully operated since commissioning.
