This is the new rail link between Johannesburg and Pretoria, OR Tambo airport and Sandton. The project is to design, finance, construct and operate 80km of new railway including the provision of rolling stock and feeder/distribution buses. Murray & Roberts is involved as a sponsor and shareholder in the Bombela Concession Company, the Turnkey contractor, the Civil joint venture (Murray & Roberts Construction) and the Operations company. The Gautrain Rapid Rail Link is expected to revolutionise public transport in the Gauteng region.
